NXT-ID Launches Digital Wallet Ad Campaign on American Airlines

The mobile wallet payment system is having a hard time penetrating the U.S. market. Unlike many countries in Europe and Asia, Americans are not yet willing to give up their credit cards and cash. Two contributing factors responsible for the low rate of adoption in this country are concerns about security and privacy, but the convenience of existing payment systems also makes it unnecessary to migrate to this new technology. It is therefore incumbent for companies offering mobile wallets to make it more convenient for the consumer. NXT-ID, creator of the Wocket, a next generation smart wallet designed to replace all the cards in your wallet without a smartphone, has announced it is launching an advertising campaign on American Airlines.

NXT-ID is a biometric authentication company and brings with it a platform with a proven security technology, overcoming one of the concerns Americans have regarding mobile wallets.

The campaign will launch on American Airlines in-flight entertainment ExecTV and Travel & Lifestyle TV, which airs on both first class and business travelers featuring innovations and information affecting their business, travel and lifestyle airing in the months of October and November.

The Wocket will be highlighting the biometrically secure system which can replace Credit, debit, ATM, loyalty, gift, ID, membership, insurance, ticket, emergency, medical, business, contacts, coupon cards and more.

"Our ongoing marketing campaign to introduce Wocket as the smartest wallet consumers will own is being spread across a variety of platforms from TV, to radio, online, social media and now in-flight venues. Because Wocket is a product for both men and women of all ages that are concerned with identity theft, we have to address a large and varied audience," said Gino Pereira, CEO of NXT-ID.

One of the highlights of the Wocket is it doesn't need to be connected to another device. It uses dynamic pairing to authenticate and encrypt the data transfer and it doesn't depend on proximity or any other external factors to secure and choose soft-cards containing private information, thus overcoming another issue that has slowed the adoption of this technology.

The system supports payment cards using its voice match algorithm to authenticate the voice, select the card, and send the information to a single dynamically programmable card included with every Wocket. When the programming is complete it can be used anywhere payment cards are accepted. And if the card is lost or stolen, it is completely useless to anyone that attempts to use it because it is zerorized after each use, making it just a blank piece of plastic.
