About a month ago, one of the two largest mobile point of sales services in Mexico released its Sr. Pago Card System. On the heels of this launch, Sr. Pago announced that it has ended a seed round with funds reaching $1 million. It seems that two Silicon Valley tech experts were very impressed with what Sr. Pago has to offer.

If you are in Atlanta, Ga., you will be able to pay for your meal from a food truck using your credit card. Happy Belly Curbside Kitchen has announced that they have implemented the NCR Silver mobile point of sale system. The NCR Credit Card Reader supports the iPad, iPad Mini and iPhones. All four of the company’s trucks will be equipped with the new system. They will be getting some special features from NCR to help both the food truck service, as well as their catering service.

One thing that we all like and maybe need a little more of is convenience. Visa is attempting to help with that by investing in and supporting DocuSign. This is a San Francisco- and Seattle-based company that provides electronic signature technology and Digital Transaction Management services for facilitating electronic exchanges of contracts and signed documents. 

When speaking of convenience, we usually think about the customer, or consumer’s side of things, but what about the merchant? It is probably more difficult to manage a merchant account than a personal account. One company that is trying to relieve the hassle is the Merchant Center. It has been referred to as one of the easiest, as well as intuitive merchant portals that can grow as your business does.

According to a new study conducted by NTT Communications, the largest telecommunication company in the world with more than 30 companies in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and the Americas, mobile payment solutions are hard to come by in China and many parts of Asia. I suppose that if you take into account the fact that the Internet, or wireless communications have not reached many parts of the region, along with the fact that most of the region’s people do not have credit cards, or much income for that matter, this is not an unforeseeable result to the survey.
