Beep'nGo Celebrates Another Million Users, Promises to Revolutionize the Check Out Line

MoBeam Inc., a new technology platform for delivering coupons to mobile phones, is celebrating the success of their new app, Beep’nGo. Having only recently announced their one millionth download from the Google Play app store for Android phone users, Beep’nGo gained another one million users two weeks later, charting an astronomical increase.

Kang Lee, President and CEO of Mobeam stated, "The spectacular growth and the positive feedback that we are receiving from our customers is truly amazing, and it positions us to become the leading loyalty, offer, and commerce app in the near future."

MoBeam’s technology strives to fix the growing problems with smartphone commerce, especially reliance on barcodes at checkout. Smartphones’ reflective screens, backlit displays, and polarizing filters are perfect for high-end graphics- but aren’t compatible with barcode scanners. The new image scanners that have the capability to scan smartphones are not only incredibly expensive, even for big chain stores, but require a long and arduous installation process.

Beep’nGo is an integral part of this smartphone barcode revolution. The app works dually as a source for finding the best discounts and coupons from retailers, manufacturers and Consumer Packaged Goods, as well as digitized storage for all of a consumer’s loyalty, membership, and gift cards. The app strives to be the only app a customer would need at all point of sale (POS) scanners with capability to convert those barcodes into beams for light for all the laser scanners in the world today.

Prominently featured as a pre-installed app on the Galaxy S5, Beep’nGo has seen over 13 million impressions in the past month for its coupons and offers, with plans to expand this feature globally in the coming months. The growth of the app is excellent news for Mobeam, however, the company is primarily focused on expanding the app to more devices, beyond just the Samsung Galaxy S4, S5 and Note 3.

Mobeam aims to have its technology embedded in over 140 million smartphones and available in over 200 countries by the end of 2014. Mobeam’s technology also won second place a the CTIA 2013 Emerging Technology E-Tech awards in the Mobile Apps – Money – Payments, Banking, Mobile Commerce, Shopping and Rewards category.
