Table8 For iOS and Android Guarantees You a Table, For a Price

With the explosion in popularity of the smartphone, there are all kinds of applications that are built to make our lives easier. Among those that are the most sought after are the virtual assistant applications that allow us to take a little bit of pressure off when it comes to everyday tasks. Booking a table at your favorite restaurant is one of the things you really don’t have to worry about these days. Table8 is the latest application to launch for both iOS and Android that helps you quickly and easily find a table at your favorite mealtime spot.

The nice thing about Table8 that sets it apart from other applications in this genre is that it specializes in finding spots for people who are looking at the last minute. The drawback is the service is only available in San Francisco so far, but it is expected to launch in other major cities very soon. Chicago, London and New York are next on the list.

Those who have used OpenTable at all understand just how useful an application like this can be. Table8 makes it that much better, because when you are in these major cities you are going to have to book a table at the most famous restaurants in town months in advance. Table8 allows people to skirt this time honored tradition, though it does do it for a hefty fee.

Currently the application charges about $20 if you are trying to get a table for two at the last minute. There is also a limitation on when you can use the app, as it only deals with the 6:30-8:30 pm dinner rush.

Those who use something like OpenTable are probably going to feel a bit odd paying for a reservation, but the developer of Table8 says his app makes a couple of promises. If the restaurant is on the list its, fabulous, sold out and you will be able to get seats. That’s something OpenTable can’t offer and it might be the new business model for apps like this moving forward.
