Xoom Enables iOS and Android Users to Securely Send Money

Xoom’s money transfer app is now out for Android and iOS devices, providing an easy and safe method to send money on the go. Not only can it quickly transfer money to friends and family remotely, it can reach anyone around the world with nearly instantaneous transfers.

With the free Xoom app, customers get a simple way of sending money. It’s called a “one tap and one swipe” technique, where they can select a friend or family member and the amount they want to send, then slide the screen to send it over in seconds. Of course, there are fees for sending the money, but Xoom promises lower fees than competing solutions.

There are other features offered by Xoom as well, such as the ability to check exchange rates when sending money overseas. Even for those who aren’t about to send money but tend to travel frequently, being able to quickly and accurately check the exchange rate is a helpful tool. Of course, that’s just one of the features it has available, with others such as contact customer service and status updates to transfers also available.

“The market has traditionally been served by offline, inconvenient cash-to-cash operators, where consumers often waste precious time waiting in line to send money,” says Joe Raymond, VP of Product for Xoom. “Now, with its new App, Xoom is providing consumers with yet another option that is quick, convenient, easy-to-use and cost-effective.”

Xoom has barely been around for a year, but has already gained hundreds of thousands of active customers, who have sent billions of dollars across 30 countries. Now that the app is available for iOS and Android devices, even more users will be able to send and receive money with a single swipe. With the tools it provides, users can ensure that their money is both secure and at their fingertips; it would take one amazing pocket-dial to send money through Xoom by mistake.
